The 2027 Silverado 1500 introduces available next-generation 5.7L and 6.6L V8 engines, giving it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class, according to Chevrolet. These engines were assembled at GM’s Flint, Tonawanda, and St. Catharines propulsion plants, and validated through extensive towing and durability testing.
Buyers still have four powertrain choices. Alongside the two V8s, Chevrolet offers an enhanced 2.7L TurboMax—now paired with a 10-speed transmission and delivering best-in-class standard torque—plus the segment-exclusive 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel.

The 2027 Silverado 1500 wears a stronger, more refined look. A bolder face, new LED headlights and taillights, more pronounced wheel-opening moldings, and updated rocker treatments give the truck serious presence. Standard dual exhaust on Custom trims and above adds a premium finishing touch.
